Jim Keplinger is celebrating his graduation from Sacramento State - and instead of gifts, he’s asking friends and family to join him in supporting a cause close to his heart: stable housing and second chances for youth aging out of foster care.
Every year, about 170 young adults in Sacramento County age out of foster care. Many exit the system with no family to fall back on. Within 18 months, nearly half will face homelessness.
Jim’s wife, Jenny, founded AcademySTAY to change that reality—and now, Jim’s using his own milestone moment to pay it forward.
