Case Manager - Foster Youth Support

Essential Duties​

  • Build and steward community relationships that expand housing, education, and wellness resources.

  • Provide holistic, trauma-informed case management: assessment, goal-setting, referrals, follow-ups.

  • Plan and lead life-skills workshops (budgeting, study skills, wellness, etc.).

  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers/mentors; celebrate their impact.

  • Keep meticulous digital files and manage multiple student schedules.

  • Participate in ongoing training; pitch ideas that raise program excellence.

  • “Other duties as assigned” in a nimble, mission-first environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Education – BA/BS in a related field preferred; upper-division or graduate coursework in counseling a plus.

  • Experience – 3 + years in student or human-services work, including at least 1 year of case management with foster or system-impacted youth.

  • Lived Experience – Personal experience in foster care or extended care is a strong plus.

  • Valid CA driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Deep understanding of student-services best practices and trauma-informed care.

  • Talent for analyzing complex situations and co-designing clear action plans.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills—comfortable with diverse cultures and sensitive histories.

  • Workshop facilitation, volunteer management, and tight file-keeping prowess.

  • Quick grasp of college, trade-school, and apprenticeship pathways.
