ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility Criteria

AcademySTAY is dedicated to providing  support and opportunities to young adults ages 18 to 24 who are transitioning from foster care.

To qualify for our program, we consider the following criteria:

Commitment & Participation

  • A goal of attending college, trade school, or vocational training, and willingness to enroll within 60 days of moving in. We'll help you enroll.

  • Willingness to actively engage in our comprehensive program for 5 hours each week

  • Agreement to abide by program rules and guidelines

  • Individuals aged 18-24

  • Spent some of their childhood in foster care

Legal & Personal Conduct

  • No pending arrests awaiting adjudication

  • No current obligations that would impede full participation in the program

Independent Living Skills

  • Ability to manage personal needs such as bathing, laundry, and cooking

  • No prior eviction due to specific reasons including:

    • Destruction of property

    • Engaging in violence
