When young adults age out of foster care, they are often left without a safety net—no home to return to, no financial security, and no clear path forward. Many face homelessness, unemployment, or an uphill battle to pursue higher education. At AcademySTAY, we are here to change that.

Why AcademySTAY?

The journey to adulthood is challenging for anyone, but for youth aging out of foster care, the obstacles can feel insurmountable. Without stable housing, reliable mentorship, and opportunities to build essential life skills, many struggle to find their footing.

I founded AcademySTAY because I believe every young adult deserves a chance to thrive. This isn’t just about providing a place to live—it’s about creating a foundation for success. We offer more than housing; we offer a community, resources, and guidance to help young adults achieve their goals and build independent, fulfilling lives.

What We Offer

At AcademySTAY, we provide:

✅ Safe, Supportive Housing: A stable environment where young adults can focus on their future.

✅ Education & Career Support: Assistance with college applications, trade programs, job searches, and career development.

✅ Life Skills & Mentorship: Workshops on budgeting, cooking, professional skills, and more.

✅ A Sense of Community: A place where youth feel supported, encouraged, and empowered.

Our Journey So Far

Launching AcademySTAY has been an incredible experience, made possible by the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the resilience of the young adults we serve. Since opening our doors, we have welcomed our first residents, built meaningful partnerships, and started creating a program that will have a lasting impact in the Sacramento area.

We’ve already seen how transformative a stable home and strong support system can be. Our residents are working toward degrees, starting careers, and taking control of their futures. This is just the beginning.

Looking Ahead: Our Vision for the Future

AcademySTAY is growing, and so is our vision. In the coming months, we aim to:

  • Expand our housing capacity to serve more young adults.

  • Strengthen our educational and career support programs.

  • Build new community partnerships to increase opportunities for our residents.

  • Raise awareness about the challenges foster youth face—and how we can all be part of the solution.

How You Can Get Involved
